Mario was gone this morning but we found this sweet little note on the Christmas tree this morning. CJ was sad to not have Mario around.
My life is an open book. As you read through my posts, you are turning the pages of my life. I believe that everything happens for a reason and God will only give you what you can handle. I am a strong woman and my life has been full of trials. I am happy to share the stories of my life with you.

Elf on the Shlef Day 27
Today is Mario's last day with us and he brought CJ a treat from Mrs Claus. I personally don't like marshmallows so I don't know how yummy these are but CJ ate them all up himself.

Elf on the Shelf Day 26
I can't beleive it's almost time for Mario to leave us. I am sure all the other toys are going to miss him too...well except for these...lol. He must have done something to piss them off.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Mario this morning and CJ's face was priceless. Oh what a trouble maker Mario has become.

Elf on the Shelf Day 22
What fun Mario must have had last night on this zipline that he made. Wish I had one my size. CJ thought it was awesome.

Elf on the Shelf Day 21
I was a little surprised when I opened the cabinet this morning to get a cup. Mario seems to have gotten himself stuck in a glass.

Elf on the Shelf Day 20
Mario seemed to be having a blast playing with Minions this morning. Glad I was able to sneak a picture of them having fun on my book shelf.

Elf on the Shelf Day 19
Looks like Mario has some musical talent that we didn't know about. He seems to take a liking to the guitar in particular.

Elf on the Shelf Day 18
I was a little concerned when I woke up this morning to find Mario playing with the ceiling fan. He seems to be having some fun though.

Elf on the Shelf Day 17
Mario decided to have some fun this morning and leave a little game for CJ. He had to find the six candy canes hidden in his room. It didn't take CJ long at all to find all six.

Elf on the Shelf Day 16
Mario was playing with snow last night and even left some Magic Snow for CJ to experiment with himself. Boy did he experiment. We added water, then more water, then more water. He added toys and more toys. He had a blast. Thanks Mario for the fun day today!

Elf on the Shelf Day 15
Seems as though we have an artistic Elf on our hands. Mario spend the night coloring a picture for CJ but it doesn't look as though he had time to finish it.

Elf on the Shelf Day 14
Mario must have been missing the North Pole today because we found him in the refrigerator this morning. He did have a blanket around him though so it doesn't appear as though he is imune to the cold. CJ had a really good chuckle this morning.

Elf on the Shelf Day 13
Mario had a blast building a fort with our bootleg Jenja game. He looks like he had a little too much fun...lol.

Elf on the Shelf Day 12
It is an icy day today with sleet and snow coming down. Looks like Mario was trying to bring some of that indoors. Looks like Mario was having some fun with Mr & Mrs Snowman...lol. What a great idea. Maybe we should make snowflakes tonight.

Elf on the Shelf Day 11
Mario must have had the munchies last night but little did he know that he would get with his hand...make that his head...in the cookie jar (so to speak). CJ found Mario right by the TV like this when he woke up.

Elf on the Shelf Day 10
Mario sure is getting good at hiding. CJ came rushing out of his room to tell us that he had found Mario. There he was peaking out of the eye of the Spiderman mask. It looks like he might have been playing with the Transformer that was sitting up on the shelf with him because it wasn't there when we went to bed.

Elf on the Shelf Day 9
What a surprise. We had the biggest surprise this morning when we found Mario...in a kissing boothe. He was giving away kisses...hershey elf kisses. If only I had captured CJ's face when he saw him. We all got a special treat from Mario but seeing CJ's face light up was the best thing I could have asked for. Check out the pictures.

Elf on the Shelf Day 8
Mario brought CJ a surprise today. He brought him a DVD with all four Home Alone movies. CJ was so excited and we watched the first one today. Here is where Mario was sitting. Do you see the cute little note telling CJ that he has been good? CJ said that Mario is the best...too cute !

Elf on the Shelf Day7
This morning Mario made a mess on my kitchen table. Here is where CJ found Mario this morning. As if that wasn't a mess enough, Milo jumped onto the table and spead flour all over the place and then proceeded to put flour paw prints all over my floor that I had to clean...lol.

Elf on the Shelf Day 6
We had a photo op today. I have been trying to find all sorts of different ideas for Mario. I think that I might be having more fun than CJ is.
Here is the picture of where CJ gets to find Mario this morning.
And of course I had to make sure that I left the Certificate of Health from the North Pole so that CJ would know that Mario is so much better.

Elf on the Shelf Day 5
Mario showed up this morning with the letter from Santa stating that he was not feeling well and the instructions to make him all better. He had Magical Recovery Dust that CJ had to sprinkle over him to make him all better. Let's see if it does the trick and Mario is back to his old self again.

Elf Emergency
We had an Elf emergency. We have reason to believe that CJ
touched his Elf. Do y’all know what that means? That means he gets weak and
loses his magical powers and then can’t report to Santa.
Just so that we are on the same page, we are not sure that
CJ touched his Elf so we have to tread lightly. So we did some research and
found that there are many other families that have faced the same horror. So we
looked and found one that we thought fit our situation. I got it from this
wonderful blog : http://www.overthebigmoon.com/elf-on-the-shelf-magical-recovery-kit/.
We are going to leave Mario with this letter next to him
tomorrow morning.
And then the next day Mario can be back to his old self with
this note from Santa.
I love the Magic of Christmas. People around me are starting
to question my sanity. When it comes to Christmas, magic is all around me. I am
a little kid at heart.
Elf on the Shelf Day 4
Apparently Mario wanted to make his own tree this morning. CJ awoke to find Mario at the top of a can tree that he must have had fun building while we were all sleeping. Mario is always up to something.

Elf on the Shelf Day 3
Mario must have been really hungry last night because he poured himself a huge bowl of cereal. CJ's reaction? "He better not let all that cereal go to waste!" His concern was wasting the cereal. Only CJ !

Elf on the Shelf Day 1
Guess who is back?! Mario, CJ's Elf on a Shelf. He made his graceful appearance today and is already up to no good. He was sitting on the couch with the book for us to get reaquainted with the rules and the story. He pulled out CJ's Legos and wrote a little note for him. If you can't tell what it says, it says "Hi CJ, I'm Back". He also managed to make a mess on the rug while playing with the Legos. Can't wait to see what Mario has in store for us.

Mason
I became a grandmother last night. Larissa had a baby. Mason
August Rei. He was 5lbs 5oz and he was 18 ½ inches long. He was born at
12:55pm.
I watched as my grandson came into this world. Having been
through childbirth four times before, I thought all I knew all there was to
know about the miracle of childbirth. Boy was I wrong. Watching my grandson
being born was a feeling I could never have expected. Seeing him take his first
breath changed me. The words don’t exist and the feelings are beyond
description.
I am a grandmother. I have a grandson.
Welcome to your family Mason. I will do everything in my
power to protect you and keep you from harm. I will spoil you and love you more
than is possible.

Moving Day for Larissa
It was a very exciting and exhausting day for me today.
I moved my baby girl into her first apartment. She was so
excited and she ran around the house putting things into place and cleaning.
She reminds of me when I had my first place. I hope she is happy and can start
to find her adult self. I hope that this will give her the independence she needs
to start a life. I hope that she will be here for a while and make this place
her home. I hope this brings her much happiness.
I love you baby girl. I hope you know that all I want is the
best for you even though we have our differences. I just want you to be happy.

My Baby Girl is Having a Baby
Today I found out
that my baby girl is pregnant…five months pregnant. I was in shock at first. My
shock came from not so much that she is pregnant but that she is five months
pregnant. I missed out on five months. It made me a little sad (a lot sad) that
she didn’t feel as though she could come to me. With all the drama that
revolved around her loss last year though, I can’t help but understand her
trying to avoid all the drama.
She will be very close to the age that I was when I had her.
I know that she has what it takes to be an amazing mother. I know that I have
taught her everything she needs to know. BUT…I worry. I worry because I know
how hard it was. I worry because I remember trying to make each dollar stretch.
I worry because I don’t want my baby girl to struggle.
My thoughts….
A baby is a blessing, it’s a little miracle. I wish her and
Brandon nothing but the happiness and joy. I hope that they can be amazing
parents together. She is getting ready to move into her new place in two weeks.
She wanted to wait to actually move in to announce it so that we would be proud
of the steps she has taken and know that she is trying to be responsible.
Larissa, I am proud of the steps that you have taken and this does not make me
any less proud. You will be an amazing mother.
